Artist Statement

I'm a mixed media artist using art and writing to process reality, access deeper truths, and transform chaos into meaning. My work explores themes of reflection, contemplation, and hope.

I lived in Tel Aviv for four years where I discovered the power of art to bridge communication gaps. Much of my recent work was inspired by the experience of visiting Israel until one day before October 7, 2023. This includes HOPE IS WORK, a statement I heard on a Zoom between Israeli and Palestinian peace activists who meet every week to engage in interfaith dialogue and envision a better future. Stories and messages like this are worth sharing, which I do through my art.
